ART FAZIL

Hmmm, thats a singer yo! wahahaha.. One of my all time fav. malay singers who's currently in UK. or rather.. he's always in UK. one of those singers that have made it big in other countries... His songs are very inspirational.. really! a lounge singer in UK, a recording artist here... Not bad rite?

Ok i like his malay songs.. actually one of his malay songs... its like.. so poetic i could die! wahahahaha... and i love the music video though.. wahahah.. done in UK... i just admire him la.. let's see if i can find his video clip and his picture.. i like his hair! wahahha.. its long and str. now how i wish mine could be permanently like that. HURMPH!

ok i cant find the video clip! sadded. i've found the audio clip though from someone's website... Let's see if i can plant it here... Anywayz, love the song for its simplicity.

Here's the lyrics and as usual... i'll translate it for the benefit of my curious non malay readers. wahahaha...

Merindu Kepastian
(Longing for Something Decided)

Andai kau menjadi pelangi
Biar ku jadi awannya
Agar kita selalu bersama

If you ever be the rainbow
Let me be the clouds
So that we'll always be together

Andai kau menjadi sang duyung
Biar ku jadi karangnya
Agar kita sentiasa bersua

If you ever be a mermaid
Let me be the corals
So that we'll always be near

Andai kau menjadi merpati
Biar ku menjadi sang bayu
Agar kita sering bertemu

If you ever turned to a dove
Let me be the wind
So that we'll always meet

Andai kau menjadi puisi
Biar ku jadi melodi
Bersama kita menyanyi

If you ever become a poem
Allow me to be the melody
And together, we will sing

Andai ku menjadi rembulan
Sudikah kau menjadi kejora
Hingga pagi nanti

If I become the moon
Would you be willing to be the stars
Shining till break of dawn?

Andai esok aku menjadi tanah
Sudikah engkau menjadi bunga
Menghiasi dadaku

If tomorrow, i've become the soil
Would you willingly be the flower
that'll be adorning my chest?

Ok, end of translation...

I love the way he pushed the malay language to remind us of what we've forgotten.

Beautiful, soft & poetic.

Ps: Ok i cant seem to put the audio clip here.. but here' the website that i got it from: Art Fazil - Merindu Kepastian
